My Other Sister is in two parts, this being the first.

With these tracks, aiming to make it sound less recognisably like my own voice, I made use of vocoder and synthesised vocals . The counterpart, which I'll put up later in the year, uses a different process to alter the vocal identity.

Instrumentally, this is a blend of hard and soft synths, sometimes stretching the audio, sometimes rerouting it back through another synth. I also chopped up some audio to create musical and also percussive textures (eg "Belief in rainbows").
In "Ghost Fetishist" the instruments were tuned to different reference pitches (bass to A=432, one synth to A=444 etc).
The last track "Offset Apex" was built around single, multilayered take improvised on the Nord lead.

This was recorded in Dublin and Uplawmoor between about 2016 and 2020.
