Crow Lips 04:01
All again Who am I moulding on me today? The climate determines which role to play All again You've got the crow's lips filter-tip teeth chowing down the meat What resides in the recessed trenches of your cheeks half-masticated Who am I scolding in litany? The parsing of pride in the liturgy Who am I moulding on me today? The climate determines which role to play

…don't come feeding me Pride of place. Second on the list. A bed of silence as reassurance. Oh I know I oh I know I oh Don't keep calling me that Don't call me Don't keep calling Don't keep calling me Don't keep calling Don't call me Don't call Don't keep calling me Don't keep calling Don't come feeding me…

Dis(k)repair 03:35
Caches of data: corrupted Default date and time Fall in and out of favour with all the remnants you leave behind The force a footprint can bestow never by design Silken dead skin cells hung like bunting on a hair from a bundle of photographs all of someone else – you were never there Caches of data: corrupted Default date and time

Boundaries 03:24
How can I justify a disconnect with nothing in between A conscious dissonance that breaks me off and permeated my dreams that ship has long since sailed and even when it did the rats where crowding faster in a frenzy to leap into the deep Disassembling the emblems of another failed attempt This belief that I have advocated burns up in contempt That ship has gone and sailed and ever since it did Relief could not compete, try as it might, to compensate the grief Who am I to define the crossing of a borderline or even what is mine? The silence breaks in time

Auld Time 03:40

about

The second half of My Other Sister takes a different approach to its counterpart, with almost all the non-vocal sounds generated using a defective dictaphone. The notable exception to this is "Failed to Send", which was created by tuning a radio through a step filter, then tracked with MS-20 and Moog Minitaur synths.

The vocals were recorded using that same dictaphone's internal mic and shifted down in pitch (depending on the track, between 100 and 400 cents). This was the method of "depersonalising" my voice in these songs.

The final track "Auld Time" is a semi-improvised piano piece recorded using the dictaphone mic, bounced to cassette and then re-digitised.
