Sometimes I listen to this and I hate it and sometimes I listen to this and I don't hate it. Ultimately, I decided to put it online.

This collection of pieces is in three parts, the first 9 tracks being some experiments in lo-fi acoustic guitar and vocal recordings. For these I mic'd up the guitar, sent that signal to an amp (sometimes turned up to the point of feeding back). I was also messing around with different tuning systems for the guitars, something using a different reference pitch and also tuning two parallel strings a quarter tone out from one another. The vocals were sent through a Big Muff fuzz pedal.

The 10th track was a mostly rhythmic experiment using various smaall pieces of percussion as well as a drum kit I was borrowing from Don at the time (thank you Don). I also made use of the same mic technique as the first tracks but this time played the acoustic with a cello bow. For a couple of minutes in the middle I also droned out my voice in tandem with one of my cats purring.

The last 3 pieces feature more acoustic guitar in different tunings, some played with percussion beaters. There is also some tin whistle and a 3-note glockenspiel.

At the time of recording I was not feeling very well or stable, and I think that is probably fairly obviously reflected in this music. It was a difficult process to get this finished.
